Do you ever feel like life shouldnโt be this hard? It doesnโt have to be! Think of your brain as a messy drawer; stress, conflict, and trauma disorganize our brain. Memories are scrambled and coping skills are hidden. Therapy lets us empty our drawers, put them in order, throw out what we no longer need, and find the things weโve been searching for.
Over my 14 years in practice, and my time as a fully Registered Psychotherapist, Iโve been lucky enough to witness the profound changes that come from โdoing the workโ in therapy. My goal is to provide you with relief from your current symptoms, as well as the opportunity to explore past experiences and allow for long term healing. After our time together, you should be able to feel heard, confident, successful, and peaceful.
Having been diagnosed with anxiety in childhood, I know the challenges a mental health diagnosis presents and how frustrating the process of treatment can be. As a wife and working mom to two children, I also know the extra pressures that it can place on an already full life.
Iโd love the opportunity to support you and your family. Contact me for a complimentary 15-minute consultation.

Jena is a relational and depth-oriented therapist who meets young adults in the in- between placesโbetween cultures, identities, expectations, and the person they hope to become. She works with clients shaped by perfectionism, people-pleasing, family-of-
origin wounds, and the patterns that repeatedly show up in intimacy and attachment. Many of her clients are sensitive, thoughtful, and overwhelmed by the weight of navigating relationships and belonging.
She blends grounding structure with deeper exploration of meaning, attachment, and emotional patterns. Jena helps clients steady overwhelming feelings, understand why certain cycles keep repeating, and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves. Her work often integrates creative and experiential elementsโsuch as metaphor, practical skills, and story-based explorationโto help clients access the parts
of themselves theyโve learned to hide.
In relational and couples therapy, Jena is attentive to emotional rhythms and protection cycles. She supports partners in softening reactivity, recognizing their patterns, and reconnecting with clarity and care. With her cross-cultural background and bilingual
practice (English and Mandarin), Jena offers a warm, steady space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and explore who they are with honesty and gentleness.
Jena provides therapy in English and Mandarin, and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as Jun Zhou.
Right for you if:
You are likely a good fit with Jena if:
You often feel lost, confused, or unsure of your direction in life.
You are hard on yourself, overthink, or judge yourself harshly.
You want to understand how your past, family dynamics, protective strategies or relational patterns shaped who you are today.
You repeat patterns in intimacy and want to understand why they keep happening.
Youโre ready for both practical tools and deep inner exploration
About Jena
Jena is a warm and intentional therapist who blends grounding structure with deeper emotional and relational exploration. She works with young adults navigating identity, belonging, family-of-origin patterns, and the quiet weight of meeting expectations
Having lived across China, Canada, and the U.S., Jena understands what it means to move between cultures, roles, and versions of yourself. This lived experience allows her to meet clients in their โin-betweenโ places, helping them feel seen not only for their
struggles, but for the stories and protective strategies behind them.
In Jenaโs work, therapy is not just about reducing distress. Itโs also a journey of self- discovery, where you learn to understanding your emotions, recognizing repeating attachment or relational cycles, and reconnecting with a steadier, more compassionate sense of self. What to expect in sessions
Sessions with Jena are collaborative, grounding, and deeply reflective. You can expect:
Structured support for managing anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional spirals.
Existential dialogue that helps you explore identity, purpose, and who you are becoming.
Creative toolsโstories, metaphors, exercises, reflective promptsโto help you see yourself from new angles.
Clear next steps, personalized coping strategies, and practical plans to help you move forward.
A space where your pace, your boundaries, and your way of expressing yourself are respected.
Jenaโs goal is to help you build self-awareness, resilience, and the emotional muscles needed to face uncertaintyโnot by giving you quick answers, but by walking with you into the deeper questions.
Outside of sessions Jena is a naturally curious and creative person. She enjoys painting, writing, and
designing therapeutic experiences that blend psychology with storytelling. She also loves skating, trying new restaurants, and finding comfort in rewatching old movies. Her creativity often influences her therapeutic style, making sessions feel experiential and grounded rather than purely clinical.
